Nic trained at The Leach Pottery, in St Ives. He continues to make an extensive range of useful kitchenware and produces new collections of work for Exhibition, using both Porcelain and Stoneware clays. Nic’s work is firmly rooted in ‘The Leach Tradition’. His hand thrown forms show Japanese influences and have integrity and honesty. The use of iron, copper and cobalt oxides produce surface colour inspired by the rugged coastline seen from his workshop. His 27 cubic foot kiln is reduction fired with propane gas to 1300’C. Visitors are always welcome. Ample parking. Limited disabled access to some areas.
