"Having worked with metal for 20 years, I started
an art degree where I fell in love with the fluidity of glass as a medium,
because it enables spontaneity and holds many surprises. This adds excitement
to the process and more intrigue to the result.
My present body of work is tending to move into form rather than function.
I have been trying to work with the properties of glass, allowing heat
and flow into my original concept of a piece. This process tends to
give each piece movement within the reflection and refraction, leaning
towards an abstract of the original conception."
