I was born and lived in London until 1986 when I bought a smallholding near Helston. While renovating the dilapidated buildings I started to raise cattle and make pottery, self taught from remembered evening classes in London. In 1990 I bought an ancient kiln, still working. I have recently changed from red grogged to white smooth clay which better enhances my coloured slip decoration. My decorative influences come from all around me on the farm and the countryside and coast.
