About us
Cornwall Ceramics & Glass is a friendly volunteer-led organisation, founded in 2004, that brings together potters, ceramicists, sculptors and glass artists from across the county. We provide an informal, welcoming space at Ladock, near Truro for people to meet socially, enjoy demonstrations, exchange ideas, methods and experiences and occasional firings at alternative locations.
Meetings are held regularly in Ladock, near Truro, with occasional gatherings at other venues in Cornwall. Membership is open to everyone—whether professional or non-professional—and our shared passion for ceramics and glass is what unites us.
A volunteer committee meets by Zoom throughout the year to plan a lively programme of events, including visiting craftspeople, studio visits and exhibition trips. Our Annual General Meeting takes place each October, when members and guests come together to celebrate and look ahead.
Aims and objectives
- To promote interest and involvement in ceramics and glass
- Develop our members knowledge and promote, ideas, techniques and skills through arranged visiting expert demonstration, studio visits and zoom seminars
- To engage without discrimination of ability, age, gender, sex, religious, political or other opinions
